Bill Harpe (choreographer, dancer and games creatrer) was a co-founder of The Blackie (now The Black-E). He started work in 1968 and, apart from the odd sabbatical few months and an 18th months job share at the GLC with Wendy Harpe, he is still working there.

Above Bill leading the post show discussion at "Educational Darts" and working with young visitors at "Gifts For A City". "Educational Darts" was a piece of participatory theatre and "Gifts For a City" a participatory exhibition. Bill essentially created the original formats for both these areas of the Blackie's work.
